Green T
Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster
Ed Sheeran, Multiply tour 2015
A stock Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster with custom motifs designed by Teddy McDonald and known as, 'Green T'.
Originally designed by Teddy as his personal guitar, the design references Teddy's name and the 'Star' symbol is widely known to represent energy, aspiration and dreams, which is certainly true of the journey taken by this guitar.
'Green T' was played by Ed Sheeran to perform 'Thinking Out Loud' and 'Photograph' in over 18 countries during the 2015 Multiply world tour.
Sheeran also chose 'Green T' for his performances on the 2015 US-televised Good Morning America Summer Concert from Central Park, New York City and on The X Factor, New Zealand.
With Sheeran, the guitar traveled the world in a custom-painted Fender Tweed case bearing the moniker 'Rocker' and Teddy's initials 'TM' and acquired a genuine 'road worn' appearance in the process.
CRASH x TEDDY M
Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster
Ed Sheeran, Mulitply/Divide tour 2015-2019
A stock Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster transformed into the unique 'Crash x Teddy M' Stratocaster at the request of Ed Sheeran.
The colours and overall design were agreed by Teddy and John Matos aka Crash incorporating Teddy's 'heart' and Crash's 'eye' motifs along with Ed's stylised 'E'. Crash applied the overall design in his New York studio using templates supplied by Teddy.
Ed Sheeran played his 'Crash x Teddy M' Stratocaster during the sold-out 2015 Wembley Stadium shows and later on the Divide world tour 2017 - 2019 including during his headline performance at the 2017 Glastonbury Festival.
The 'Crash x Teddy M' Stratocaster can be seen on Sheeran's concert movie, 'Jumpers for Goalposts'.
