The Colosseum Rome with Olive Trees

You. Me. Italy.

Where refined travel meets quiet creativity and a slowed down pace to sketch, observe, and preserve fleeting moments of elegance.

Enter Italy with creative director Teddy McDonald. This is not travel as itinerary, nor a tour to be followed but, an invitation into a cultivated way of moving through place — attentive, elegant, and deeply personal.

I am not a guide but, more a considered companion: relaxed, perceptive, and quietly knowledgeable, curating moments rather than schedules. From boutique hotels chosen for atmosphere to understated restaurants favoured by locals each element is selected with aesthetic intention.

Along the way, I encourage you to slow your gaze — sketchbook in hand — and translate fleeting impressions into personal visual memory, capturing the subtle gestures of Italian life not through your cellphone but, through your own hand creating a highly personal visual journal of your visit.

Designed for solo travellers, couples, and intimate family groups, each journey balances cultural icons with quieter discoveries and refined culinary interludes. For those drawn to effortless movement, my fluency with Italy’s high-speed Frecciarossa network allows for seamless transitions between cities — breakfast in Milan, lunch in Florence, an evening unfolding in Rome.

I work with only a very limited number of clients each year - predominately existing collectors of my work - preserving discretion.

Whether joining an itinerary at short notice or crafting a journey entirely from first intention, each experience is shaped with care, restraint, and clarity of vision. Those open to seasonality will find winter to be Italy at its most elegant: fewer visitors, crisp blue skies, and a quieter cultural cadence, particularly in Florence and Rome.

My primary language is English, with a working and continually evolving knowledge of Italian.
