Rolls-Royce Wraith
Interior Concept
2017
Commissioned by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London, Teddy McDonald was invited to create an interior concept for a Rolls-Royce Wraith display vehicle with emphasis on achieving a design with an artistic expression far-removed from the expectation of a Rolls-Royce and with the purpose of attracting a new customer demographic not traditionally associated with the Rolls-Royce brand.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London were inspired by Teddy's Range Rover Autobiography art car and the draft design illustrates how the interior features the same colour accents combined with the prominent use of a matt woodland camouflage veneer over deep midnight blue leather seats and door cards while also retaining the original black trimmed dash and surrounds.
The centre of the steering wheel and centre console design feature original rip-stop cotton woodland camo from a vintage army BDU shirt and an embroidered patch referencing the founding date of the Rolls-Royce brand.
Teddy was also commissioned to add subtle embellishment to the exterior of the vehicle and to provide a full window display design for the dealership's showroom in Berkeley Square, London.
